10/7/2018 1 Comment No Country for Old Men (2007)Who in the world knew that a bowl cut would turn out to be so scary. My film teacher showed us a video and this movie was featured in that video. It dawned on me that this movie was on Netflix so I decided to give it a chance. I sat down and watched some of the best acting and suspense I have ever seen in a movie. I loved how brave and different this movie turned out. (spoiler) They kill the main character of the movie! how many movies can pull that off!? I was flabbergasted by the beauty in this movie. I never thought I would be so impressed with the looks of the Texas desert. Stunning
My lord was the acting in this movie absolutely incredible. The acting by Javier Bardem was so crazy good. He plays a psychopathic killer who is hunting the main character who is played by Josh Brolin. Bardem played this character so well. The suspense in this movie is amazing but actors who great at dramatic acting take in to a entire different level. There is a scene were Bardem's character Anton is in a store talking to the owner. The sound is almost gone and all you can see is the acting. That scene is absolutely brilliant and is now my favorite scene in any movie I have ever watched. I have watched that. Not only that but this movie was the perfect amount of violence for me. The action was not tons of cuts but suspenseful. I could gush over how much I liked this movie! I wish I watched this movie earlier in my life! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqMdQBox15s This has made it into my top 5 list. 9.5/10
